What do you think?

We have a name for our baby girl. I'm am so excited that I found one this early. This is my least favorite part of having a baby. Lex and I pray for months and ponder and pray some more. However, Lex left it all up to me this time. The only problem is ... Lex HATES the name I picked out! I am SET on the name and refuse to change it. I have prayed about it and actually changed one of the middle names because I didn't feel it was right for her to have the one I orginally chose. I think that it is beautiful and he thinks that it sounds OLD and doesn't FLOW!

Ciela 'Elele Hope Olayan

Pronunciation: See-ella (Ciela) Uh-lay-lay ('Elele)

In Spanish, Cielo means HEAVEN. Because I changed the "O" to an "A" it no longer means heaven, but it does in my mind. 'Elele means MESSENGER in Hawaiian. So my translation of her name means heaven(ly) messenger of hope. I LOVE it! Lex didn't help me find it and hasn't come up with something else, so this is it as far as I am concerned. Just curious as to what you think :)

I like it and really like the meaning of it! Good luck working on the hubby. I love that you guys pray about the names and really wait to feel what is right. That is cool.

I LOVE IT!!! Nick didn't like Brooklyn's name either (he wanted to name her allysa) but there was no way that I was changing my mind. It wasn't until we were in the delivery room that he told me he thought that was the perfect name for her. So hopefully Lex will change his mind as well.

I love the meaning! It seems like it flows for the most part. Hope sort throws off the flow, but I think it's beautiful. Plus, the more you hear it, the more it'll seem to flow. It's BEAUTIFUL!

Erika,
I just remembered, while checking the blog, that last week when I was shopping and talking to you, my phone died! I forgot to call you back. SORRY! I totally didn't hang up on you. I still have the same phone that Lex used to have. The one with the great battery. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know! Love ya!

Sounds like a great meaning to me. Matthew is the same way and eventually I have picked all the names because he never comes up with anything except names like Guadalupe, Bartholamew or Laquesha. Silly Men :)

I think the meaning is awesome. But I would have to agree with Bels in that Hope does sort of throw the flow off for the entire name.I think it's because all of the other names are three syllables. But the more I say it the more I like it.

I think it is great! The first name is beautiful...I really like it. And I say if Lex gave you free reign over naming her then go with it. He will grow to love it as soon as he sees his baby girl.

I love it! It is very uplifting. And I want to thank you for the help with the blog stuff. I finally got to use the internet on Mike's computer (I have been too busy to get on the internet before) and I had so much fun posting on the blog.
